Stage Fright? An Interactive Dental Age Assessment Challenge: Age, Stage & Engage
Drs Megan Lenahan and Kathy Kasper
Description. From foundational concepts to current recommendations, this interactive session invites attendees to put their dental age assessment skills to the test. Through audience polling, case-based exercises, and a little friendly competition, participants will evaluate dental development, assign stages, compare interpretations in real time, and explore interobserver variation. Designed for both experienced forensic odontologists and those newer to the field, the session emphasizes stage descriptors, current methodology, and calibration over visual pattern recognition alone.
